PAULEY's Exhibition Stand Visualisation for Signalling Solutions has now been brought to life at Railtex 2013, pushing the boundaries of traditional displays within their industry. The exhibition stand consists of central meeting areas surrounded by short throw projectors that are designed to project video, multimedia and adverts onto glass panels containing transparent interactive touchscreen technology. The panels enable visitors to interact with the brand and its products. Signalling Solutions wanted their visitors to be able to experience a 'minority report'-type engagement that would make there display stand out from the crowd. PAULEY have created a concept design for the next generation interactive touch screen drawing board that will be used across multiple sectors . This innovative design aims to make collaboration and decision making more effective and immediate, whilst adding an enhanced level of engagement within the digital process. Established over 50 years ago, Vistaplan is the UK market leader in manufacturing and supplying drawing office equipment and drawing management systems. The company offers drawing filing and planfiling systems, CAD filing, map storage, planchests, parallel motion, draughting machines and a range of technical equipment for use in education, construction, engineering and many other industries. A dynamic video presentation of Big Fish Superyacht's maiden adventure into Antarctica, created by PAULEY, has been selected by EYOS Expeditions to highlight the region as a destination. EYOS Expeditions provide the technical and logistical support to organisations including the National Geographic Society during complex expeditions. The initial collaboration with Aquos Yachts for their Big Fish Antarctica presentation aimed to give customers an enjoyable way to see the yacht in action and entice them with a taste of the excitement of a trip on a luxury expedition superyacht. That was followed by the production of a range of presentations, highlighting the fascinating story of this pioneering and multi award winning superyacht's first year circumnavigation around the world. PAULEY are very excited to be working alongside Cambridge University's Institute of Astronomy to develop an interactive 3-D map of our Galaxy, the Milky Way. The primary objective of the collaboration is to develop mechanisms to engage the public in the complex data held on the make-up of our universe. Initially developing a Hipparcos catalogue simulation, PAULEY will utilise data from approximately 120,000 stars within the Milky Way, including accurate location, size, age, colour and dimension data. This digital model will allow users to investigate the universe, flying through constellations and between the stars. The European Space Agency are investing 600 million euros over a five year period into the GAIA Project tasked with the investigation, collaboration and visualisation of the Galactic stellar population.
Haymarket Creative Solutions engage PAULEY to deliver LG's latest smartphone ipad advert campaign. Entitled 'Pocket Powerhouse', the ad features an interactive 360 degree rotatable graphic of the new LG Optimus 4X HD handset within the October 2012 Stuff Magazine App.??The visual effects, animated by PAULEY, incorporating still imagery and touchscreen tech, form the centre piece of the advert which allow the reader to explore the handset from all angles alongside its key features. Haymarket Media Group are a global media company who serve a broad range of markets, from sport to medicine, from technology to town planning.
PAULEY have evolved Dugard's product material into a new digital era by developing and incorporating innovative interactive 3D graphics into new online e-brochures. Dugard, a global manufacturer of CNC machines and supplier of machine tools, saw the benefits of creating a market-leading sales brochure experience that could fully engage potential customers in their product range. The new interactive technology uses 3D modelling and interactive features to give an immersive experience that allows the end user to explore components of the machinery through a web browser. The easily updatable online e-brochures replace static paper-based technical drawings and imagery and will significantly reduce traditional printing overheads.
GEA Breconcherry (part of GEA Group) is a global, innovative, forward thinking leader in the design and manufacture of high efficiency tank washing equipment. They are committed to the highest standards and are pioneering the design of new technically advanced systems to meet the future needs of business. GEA approached PAULEY to design a Physics Engine Program to facilitate an interactive sales tool that simulators the full product range situated within a controlled environment. PAULEY produced a bespoke 3D program that enables sales staff to show how different Breconcherry cleaners perform in any tank to highlight which cleaner product suits specific needs best.
PAULEY's work has been selected for the UK Trade & Investment's IMAGINE - Great Ideas Made Real campaign for visiting and overseas delegates. It highlights the best of UK design over the past 200 years in celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and London Olympic Games. PAULEY is one of 120 companies and individuals featured alongside 76 Nobel Prizes in Science and Technology alone. The video presentation will be showcased around the world throughout the London Olympic's and promoted at the Government's Global Business Summit Events held at Lancaster House.
Developing FUTURE (Fundamental Understanding of Technologies for Ultra Reduced Emission) Vehicles is a multi-institution research project funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) under the UK Low Carbon Vehicles Integrated Delivery Programme. In need of a website and brand identity, FUTURE Vehicles (headed by University of Oxford's Energy and Power Group team) approached PAULEY to become their ongoing partner, charged with maintaining all website development work.
After collaborating with Eurostar to find innovative ways around common training problems, PAULEY stepped in with an interactive training solution, which allows staff to be re-tested on various Critical Safety Exams without the need for a real train. Saving time, money and difficult scheduling issues, the Interactive Training Program includes an accurate, interactive 3D model of a Eurostar train power car & associate components. Having 24/7 access to this digital (individual and group) training and assessment program offers Engineering Management a Competency Management System that new and experienced engineering staff have warmly welcomed and enjoy using. Following on from Hillhead 2012, Metso have announced they are to supply the world's largest mobile crushing plant to Atley Polimetally LLP. This ?9 Million contract has come as a result of Metso's engagement with digital communications and a sustained innovation strategy. The giant Lokotrack LT200 (as shown above, bottom right) will be an 800 tonne monster which will dwarf this year's Hillhead star attraction, the 287 tonne CAT 6030 (as shown above, large image). After analysing the complexity of the situation, PAULEY produced an innovative 3D layout of the 6 story, three wing floor-plan for Somerset House to be incorporated into their existing website. The new facility includes a tenants online induction process, staff H&S interactive training, meeting booking processes, public facing touchscreen way finding and a whole range of facilities management and event attraction services. The result has been a huge success and has enabled cost and time savings for staff, tenants' and public engagement with this fantastic heritage site and one of London's central cultural tourist attractions.

PAULEY and TATA have worked on a number of sensitive and high profile projects together. The Survival Rooms is one example where PAULEY have supplied the design for a new product range for the Group. These innovative designs are container-sized units that offer total protection within an enclosed capsule, creating a self-sufficient emergency life support system for a range of anti-blast, anti-flood, crush proof emergency survival room applications. These particular facilities can be incorporated at design stage into a building or retrofit into any given situation.
The world's only airworthy Vulcan XH558, named "The Spirit of Great Britian" was joined by the Red Arrows to open the 2012 Farnborough International Airshow with a thrilling flypast.
